“Modern American cuisine with a twist and a bold menu with southern flair.”

The restaurant’s own description was the influence for this remodel project. Partnering with both the hotel owner and the restaurant chef, a plan was put in place to remodel the existing restaurant located in the front lower level of a boutique hotel while only being closed for construction for two weeks. The existing space was average with a sea of tables and lacked ambiance. The hotel had recently undergone some modernization with a lot of white with black accents in the reception and guest rooms. For the restaurant, which strictly serves dinner and is entered by descending a few feet from the lobby, the concept was to juxtapose the hotel scheme with a more dramatic story of navy, charcoal, walnut tones, and tufted upholstery playing up the southern flair while white accents in the trim, table, and bar top played to the modern twist. These design features were implemented by opening up the ceiling, refacing the bar front, updating the bar top, paint, wall covering throughout, new lighting, all new furniture including custom booths, tables, and seating, as well as creating an intimate patio at the front of the hotel, adding dining space for the restaurant.
